New Product Launch & Product Updates
Made improvements on nodes deployment in core and edge network
Open access to edge node deployment via Aliyun for domestic users
Achieved edge node deployment via NAS for home use
Realized encrypted transmission for edge nodes data service
Realized one-click interoperability with Map3 network via Mapbox JS
Increased Map3 HK Open Geospatial Data to 81 layers
Since decentralized map service network Map3 launched in Jan 2019, Map3 nodes were actively increased in domestic market. Domestic community built for Map3 nodes has reached 130 members by the end of March, who registered as edge nodes, share deployment experience, and respond to inquiries with other members. It is estimated that, a total of 100 nodes have been added in Map3 network via Aliyun (domestic market) and AWS (overseas market) in global scale, having served 220,000 data requests so far. Increased nodes will improve the service level of localization map data distribution with low-latency and high-availability for global users.
Global Community Growth
A total of 60 articles have been published on Hyperion official forum, in discussing blockchain and decentralized map technology related topics in bilingual (English and Mandarin). For instance, <what to expect as a Map3 node>, <12 mistakes that can get your data hacked – how to avoid them>, <A history of Bitcoin>, <A Walkthrough to Map3 Aliyun Edge Node Deployment>, etc. Nearly 40 users have joined and actively participated discussions across all interesting topics. They shared their creative ideas and experience in blockchain to inspire other community members. Forum users will receive more updated Map3 and project related news in the forthcoming month. In the meantime, we welcome new users to bring us fresh ideas.
According to official statistics, Hyperion online articles has attracted over 2 million views across domestics and overseas mainstream media platforms in March, due to the enriched content covering hot topics such as the history of cryptocurrencies, future trend of blockchain industry, and decentralized map applications. Those traditional and blockchain media platform include but not limited to NetEase, Sohu, Toutiao, Baidu, ifeng, Jinse, Huoxing24, QBI Community, AICoin, etc. This month, Hyperion has reached cooperation with more domestic media platforms to increase exposure.
Hyperion envisions the decentralized future
Hyperion Team dedicates to build up the very first idea of One Map for the World, to converge the scattered Geospatial Information and metadata to one spatial data infrastructure. The idea will be achieved through a global decentralized MapChain (Hyperion Blockchain) ecosystem based on spatial consensus protocol, which will benefit 10 billion people in a global scale when map autonomy is achieved. Everyone will be empowered to build map technology, share economic return and govern map communities when the dencentralized world is built. We need your support to go further.
